Books?

I have a sudden desire to read fictional books that take place in/around New Orleans and deal with the undead (zombies, vampires etc) and or voodoo. Partially in research for a vampires campaign but also because I like reading that stuff.

I'm typing up my notes/writing my paper on the Armenian Genocide right now. So when I see shit like this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8018327.stm
and this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8014008.stm

I want to yell. I'm so glad that Obama is speaking about the Armenian Genocide. But I want to yell and scream at Turkey for being retarded. To say that the 1.5 million Armenians who were brutally tortured, gassed, beaten and/or raped during WWI, were just the result of conflicts during the war....is insulting at best and horrifying at worst. The Germans have owned up to the shit that happened in WWII so why can't Turkey (and I don't mean the individual citizens, but the government) own up to what happened in WWI? The people alive in Turkey now did not personally commit these acts of horror. So it shouldn't be so hard to say, "yeah our government committed genocide against the Armenians".

Ahhhh!!!!

Riddle me this

Ok, so I know that the majority of these sales are in things such as ipods and iphones. But, when Apple is posting it's second best quarter ever, in such a severe economic downturn...I have to wonder (aside from sheer preference in OS) how are they any better than Microsoft? And yes I know it's not an entirely fair comparison since Apple is making the whole computer and not just the OS like Microsoft. But it has me wondering...Apple has basically become this megacorp, just like Microsoft. And that megacorp aspect is what a lot of people say that they hate about Microsoft (they don't even touch on functionality). And I'm not saying that my Mac using friends are this type of person (I know you guys aren't)...but I find it all rather ridiculous. Ridiculous in the same way that hundreds of flyers about Earth Day are ridiciulous. Amirite?

So I'm in Chicago until Saturday night. So I won't be around except briefly for the next few days. But I am getting lots of exercise walking around downtown Chicago, so w00t.
NASA is holding a contest to name the new ISS, Node 3. If you are a fan of the Colbert Report, you should 'suggest a name', Colbert. Colbert is currently the #1 suggestion after last night's broadcast.

Here is the link to suggest a name: http://www.nasa.gov/externalflash/name_ISS/index.html You can vote once a day.

Here is the video from the Colbert Report: http://www.colbertnation.com/the-colbert-report-videos/220492/march-03-2009/name-the-nasa-module-after-stephen

This review, http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/film-reviews/film-review-watchmen-1003945726.story , says the movie sucks because it follows the graphic novel....WTF?
